Lune de Miel Honey
Yves Michaud, an engineer and beekeeper, founded Famille Michaud Apiculteurs in 1920. He revolutionized the age-old skill of beekeeping transhumance, and developed many new beekeeping techniques. He then founded Lune de Miel in 1958 to source, harvest, and process a wide variety of honey.
The company is now in the hands of the 4th generation, yet Yves’ pioneering spirit remains. In 1992, they invented the first squeeze bottle that revolutionized honey packaging. They further created a flexible bottle with a silicone valve cap which won it the Oscar for packaging in 2000.
The family makes it a mandate to only procure and bottle 100% pure and natural honey. So, they created probably the world’s most advanced honey testing laboratory. In 2019 alone, they analysed 66,970 samples, checked over 1 million hives, and rejected 37% of the honey offered to them.
With such dedication to purity, quality, and consumer satisfaction, Lune de Miel has long been the no.1 brand of honey in France. And its prominence keeps increasing across the globe.
